3D Block Printing - Model Reproduction
Overview
In the Shape from Silhouette (SFS) method, which generates 3D models from multiple images, the reproduction of color boundaries of voxel models is improved by image processing the original images with bilateral filters. When generating a block model from an STL model, principal component analysis is conducted to investigate whether aligning the orientation of the block to the principal component directions of the face and whole body would affect the appearance of the model.
Key Features
- Image-to-3D model conversion
- Improved color boundary fidelity
- PCA-based block orientation
- Appearance optimization
